Anaura Rd at Shark Bay - extremely marginal, light traffic only.
Horehore Rd - Continual hazardous ROCKFALLS through the river-bluff section.
Wainui Road and Hirini Street Intersection - Improvement works, includes closure of the northern leg of Hirini Street at Wainui Road to vehicular traffic. Take care when travelling through the works and be courteous to the contractors. Speed restrictions will apply.
Fernside Rd - approx. 6km from Mata Rd, upgrading of road is in progress. 4WD access only during wet conditions through this section of road.
Kaiinanga Hill, Waiomatatini Road - Caution required
Mangatokerau Rd, Tolaga Bay - Open to end of road. Caution required from approx. 4.4km.
Mata Rd - Slump in road half a km past the Taukau Rd intersection - down to one lane - caution required, also near Fernside Rd - dropout in roadway.
Tauwhareparae Rd - Doonholm Hill - road extremely marginal, assessed each hour. Light vehicles only.
Waikawa Rd - Open but caution advised.
Waikura Rd - Open to light traffic only from 3km mark
Waimata Valley Road - Slip cleared but some large potholes forming. Care required on entire length of the road
Gisborne Car Club propose to close the following roads to all ordinary vehicular traffic:
Te Kowhai Road, Whatatutu (from the bridge - Te Kowhai - crossing the Waipaoa River to end of road) - Sunday 7 September or 14 September 2008 10am - 5pm
Willows Road (Awapuni to McDonald Road) - Saturday 4 October or 11 October 2008 10am - 5pm
Waimata Valley Road (From Witters Estate to the metal pit at top of Greys Hill) - Sunday 5 October or 12 October 2008 10am - 5pm
Brunton Road (whole road) - Saturday 8 November or 15 November 2008 11.30am - 6pm
Kanakanaia Road (from Bruce Road to end of seal at top of Kanakanaia Hill) - Sunday 9th November or 16 November 2008 10am - 5pm
Waitangi Road, Kanakanaia (whole road) - Sunday 7 December or 14 December 10am - 5pm
Each event will be run on the 1st date provided the weather is favourable. If not, the event will be postponed to the 2nd date.
Each event will consist of a number of runs. Normal traffic flows will be allowed between runs.
