Council launched a review of community outcomes at the Tatapouri Fishing Club on Thursday, 6 December 2007.
|
Following consultation in 2003/04 six high level community outcomes were identified:
The current Community Outcomes are described in more detail in the 2006- 2016 Community Plan Summary.
If you would like to view those, click here. |
The Gisborne District Community Outcomes are statements of community aspiration.
They help inform and guide organisational decision-making and promote better co-ordination of resources.
The review is focused on refining what we already have rather than starting from scratch. Energy will be invested in translating these aspirational statements into action.

Feedback
What we have received so far indicates is that it was a great concept and immediate follow up is needed to capture the goodwill that was created.
One participant was heard saying “this is an iconic event for Gisborne” given the range of people who came together to talk about big picture issues that will influence Gisborne’s future.
Another table discussed the opportunity to host a similar event but with youth.
“On the right, see some of the community representatives who joined in the various discussions and read what they considered at each table”
