Tairawhiti District Health Board Elections 2007

The Tairawhiti District Health Board election result public notice published on Wednesday 17th October showed results sorted by Vote Count. Electoral regulations require the public notice to show elected members sorted by descending order of election. This does not affect who is elected, but shows Atareta Nicole Poananga to be elected before Marie E Burgess. The amened public notice is as follows:

In accordance with section 86 of the Local Electoral Act 2001, I hereby declare the result for the Tairawhiti District Health Board election held on Saturday, 13 October 2007.

I confirm that the official result was determined after the scrutiny of the roll was completed, the validity of all special votes was determined and all valid votes were counted using the New Zealand method of counting Single Transferable Votes.

Tairawhiti District Health Board (7 vacancies)

I therefore declare Ingrid N COLLINS, Craig BAULD, Brian WILSON, Barbara Anne CLARKE, Atareta Nicole POANANGA, Marie E BURGESS and Hemi H HIKAWAI to be elected.

The final quota as determined at the last iteration was 1736.288208.
(792 informal votes, 681 blank votes recorded).
