Regional Air Quality Management Plan


The Air Plan is primarily concerned with the sustainable management of the air resource of Gisborne District.

The Gisborne District Council Regional Air Quality Management Plan (Air Plan) is prepared under the Resource Management Act 1991.  It was publicly notified in October 1996, and became legally effective from that date, and subsequently in August 2000.  The Air Plan became Part Operative, excluding Chapter 6 Rule 14.2 User Training, on 31 March 2007. 

The provisions in Chapter 6 - Rule 14.2 were approved by Council on the 20th December 2007 and become operative on the 14th January 2008.
