Friends of the Olympic Pool
Gisborne is a small community with many high quality amenities. We all enjoy the well-presented central business district, parks and reserves, theatres, library, sports grounds and our Olympic Pool.
Inevitably, these things come at a price. We understand that people have different interests and not everybody, for example, uses the pool or the library. But in the end, everybody benefits directly or indirectly from having these facilities available. Sharing the cost means simply that we are supporting each other and that is the idea of a community.
It is only normal that the people with a special interest in a particular aspect of community life come together, join forces and endeavour to improve on that aspect. That is what the 'Friends of the Olympic Pool Complex (Inc.) Society" is all about.
