Arts and culture strategy

Arts and culture brings life to Tairāwhiti enabling us to express and share with others where we have come from, where we are heading, and who we are.
Council recognises the important role of arts and culture for the district as a stimulus for growth, innovation, creativity, local pride and identity. We have a responsibility to ensure that it continues to enable, promote and support this through a clear vision, good planning and meaningful working relationships.
