Burial registers can be viewed at:

• Our customer service counter in Fitzherbert St - burial registers for all cemeteries
• HB Williams Memorial Library - hold a copy of burial registers for Makaraka Cemetery (1877-1981) and Taruheru Cemetery (1915-1979)
• Taruheru Cemetery - the sextons can help you with burial details.

Cremation records

We have cremation records up until March 1998.

Evans Funeral Service has performed cremations since April 1998.  They keep cremation records.  If the ashes were buried, we will have the burial records.
