Burial register books for all cemeteries are available for viewing at our customer service office. The library has burial registers for Makaraka Cemetery from 1877 to 1981 and Taruheru Cemetery from 1915-1979. The sextons at the Taruheru Cemetery can also help with burial details.

Records prior to 1998

We hold cremation records up until March 1998. If the ashes were buried in our district's cemetery, the record can be searched online.
