Closure of Waitangi Road

Waitangi Road, Kanakanaia

Waitangi Road, Kanakanaia, will be closed to vehicles between 10am and 5pm on Sunday 6 December 2009. This is to allow a Gisborne Car Club event to take place. 
In the event of wet weather, the event will be held on Sunday 13 December.

During the closure, vehicles that normally use the road will be let through now and then. It will be an offence under the above regulations for anyone, other than those covered by the permit for the above event, to use the road while it is closed.

This notice is issued under the Local Government Act 1974 Section 342 and the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965,
