District plan reviews

Reviews are underway and proposed plan changes have been developed.

Financial contributions and funding principles is plan change 38 - the review is to update and improve financial contributions requirements and infrastructure funding provisions.

Infrastructure standards review is plan change 42 -  the review addresses subdivision requirements for earthworks, roading, stormwater, water supply, wastewater, reserves, landscaping and street planting as well as other infrastructure issues.

  • Review cook landing site heritage provisions

    Council is reviewing options for protecting heritage values at the 'Cook Landing Site' through the council's district plan.  Council has received a "sense of place assessment" of options to protect those values prepared by Lincoln University.  Staff are  now developing options for council in detail.
