Lots going on in our community
You’ve seen the financials for the year, but there’s a whole lot more going on in the Annual Report.
There are some great community facility upgrades happening, including the HB Williams Memorial Library upgrade, the restoration work on Titirangi (Kaiti Hill) and township upgrades.
At a foundation level, we’re really focused on reducing overflows into our rivers and on to private property, and we’re looking out for the environment through our work with Rere farmers to improve water quality out there, restoring the Waiapu Catchment and we’ve started the managed aquifer recharge trial at Makauri.
And that’s just for starters, so if you want to see what your Council has been up to in the last financial year check out the 2016-17 Annual Report Summary [PDF, 3.5 MB]
