Meetings calendar

Council committees meet each month.  All meetings are held at our administrative centre and are open to the public.  If you would like to speak at a meeting - here's some information about  talking at a meeting.  

Public excluded agenda and minutes are not available to the public.  A local authority has to provide a good reason if they wish to exclude the public from council or committee meetings - this also includes the media.  The most common criteria for making a report 'public excluded' include: protecting the privacy of any person, commercial confidentiality or legal privilege.  Resolutions to exclude the public are made under Section 48 of the Local Government Official Information & Meetings Act 1987.

The agenda reports will be available on the website 2 days before the meeting.  Minutes are available once they are confirmed at the following meeting, usually one month.
