Regional Land Transport Plan
The Regional Land Transport Plan for Gisborne aims to:
- Identify key transport issues in the Gisborne region and how transport activities, proposed in the plan, will address these issues.
- List proposed transport activities for national funding that will be undertaken between 2015 and 2018.
The lists of activities in this plan have been identified either by the Council or the NZ Transport Agency.
The activities are in 2 categories:
- Business as usual activities such as road maintenance, operations and renewals of roads, public transport, and minor improvement which are automatically included in this plan and do not require prioritisation by the Regional Transport Committee.
- A prioritised list of activities, which the RTC believes will make a major contribution to the districts transport issues.
