Rental Units

Council has a limited number of units to rent to married and single people, 55 years of age or over with no children or dogs.
All units have one bedroom that will fit one single bed.  The larger bedroom units (twin) accommodate one double bed or 2 single beds.

Realistic rents are charged and all maintenance of buildings and grounds is the responsibility of council.

The advantages of living in a council flat include:

• realistic rents
• no charge for lawn mowing
• maintenance is always attended to
• no rubbish stickers required
• most units on a regular bus route
• good community spirit generated with other tenants
• units strategically placed in different suburbs

Weekly rental

A bond of $200, plus 2 weeks rent in advance must be paid when a tenancy begins.
