Safe bus travel at Alert Level 2

The GizzyBus service is continuing to operate at normal levels during Covid-19 Alert Level 2. Council is encouraging social distancing of one metre and for passengers to use a manual track and trace register on the bus. QR codes will also be available for passengers with smart phones.

Council has reintroduced precautions that will sound similar to the last time we were at level 2:

-       Passenger numbers will be limited to 10 at a time.

-       Face masks are advised on Public Transport but are not compulsory.

-       Passengers must be seated at least 1m apart unless you are part of the same bubble.

-       When lining up to board the bus, you need to stay 1m apart from each other.

Bus drivers will still accept cash for payments.

The Council Waka Kura Bus service will continue to operate as normal.

Go Bus remains committed to ensuring that essential workers can get to and from work, and that the community has fair access to essential services.
