Shaping our future: Tairāwhiti 2050 Spatial Plan
We want to hear your aspirations for Tairāwhiti.
Tairawhiti 2050 is a 30 year future-thinking plan for the region. It looks at how we can respond to the opportunities and challenges facing us, such as climate change, biodiversity loss, changing technology and population growth.
The plan will guide the work of Council and other organisations and identify investment and collaboration opportunities throughout the region.
To develop the plan, Council has already consulted with targeted groups, including several stakeholder workshops during April and May. There are more hui to come with rangatahi, townships, iwi and hapū.
There has been plenty of robust discussion so far and we want to continue the conversation with the rest of the community during September.
We're holding drop in sessions at the HB Williams Memorial Library on September 10 and 24 from 5pm-6.30pm in the Papatipu/Launchpad room. Come along!
