|Contact Name:||Peter Higgs, Engineering & Works Manager|
Contractors with vision, experience and capacity are asked to register their interest in providing light infrastructure for the Tairāwhiti Navigations Project. The project focuses on the Gisborne/Turanga inner harbour precinct and in Wairoa, Rangi-Houa Pa and Pilots Hill walkway. It includes walkways and bridging with a cost of up to $6 million.
It is expected that the contractor will be able to work effectively with a range of groups and have an understanding of the cultural and historic significance of the project. The successful contractor will enter into a collaborative arrangement with Gisborne District Council on behalf of the Tairāwhiti Regional Governance Group.
A shortlist will be developed from the registrations. Those companies will be invited to be considered for a design and build contract. A preferred contractor should be selected by mid October 2010.
For more information including the document and details to be submitted as part of this ROI process. They are also available from customer service in Fitzherbert Street.
