Tokomaru Bay Township Plan

The 2011 Tokomaru Bay  township plan update builds on the work done in 2007, that identified the community's long term vision and key projects. Many of the previous projects have now been completed like a fitness trail, community caretaker, dune restoration project, improved hours for transfer station, foot bridge over Waiotu stream, to name a few.

New priorities have now emerged and the top nine projects that the community will focus on over the next 10 years are:

  • Maintain seawalls
  • Reliable fuel supply
  • Public toilet facilities
  • Tokomaru Bay Wharf
  • Rubbish management
  • Heritage promotion
  • Roading infrastructure
  • Playground facilities
  • Native trees

The other ideas that are important, are included in the list at the end of the update and implementation plan.
