Established under clause 4A of the resource consent.  This group is tasked with the Biological Trickling Filter (BTF) plant monitoring and investigation study. The study shall run for 3 years after the commissioning of the single BTF plant and is to determine the effectiveness of the treatment process and the amount of biotransformation being achieved. The study will also assess the scientific rational and effectiveness of various clauses in the consent.

At the conclusion of the 3 year study period the group shall report their findings to the wastewater management committee and council.

The study has been divided into the following topics with each member responsible for reporting on that particular area.  Here's the information library, available to assist the group members in the study.
