Ballance Farm Environment Awards

My Post 3

Are you proud of your land-based business? Now is the time to enter the East Coast Ballance Farm Environment Awards.

It’s the perfect opportunity for farmers and growers to share their positive actions with the local community and a wider audience. All farmers and growers, including orchardists, vegetable growers and viticulturists, are eligible to enter. Each entrant is visited by a small group of rural professionals looking for opportunities to recognise and assist the financial and environmental sustainability of each business.

Gisborne comes under the East Coast region of the awards, which covers the geographic area of the Gisborne District Council and the Hawke's Bay Regional Council.

Entries close in October, first round judging is November, second round judging for finalists is early February and the 2020 awards dinner will be in Gisborne on March 4.

Details of the awards, frequently asked questions and other entrant information is available on the website www.bfea.org.nz(external link).
