The Tairāwhiti Resource Management Plan (TRMP) brings together all of Gisborne District Council’s resource management plans into one combined document. It includes the Regional Policy Statement, Regional Coastal Plan, Regional Plan and District Plan.
The TRMP replaces the 7 former district and regional plans, creating a single, integrated framework for managing the region's natural and physical resources.
Earlier this year, Council sought submissions on Proposed Urban Plan Change 6.
Proposed Urban Plan Change 6 will update the planning rules to enable a wider range of housing types, supporting increased supply, improving affordability, while meeting national requirements and protecting our fertile soils.
The formal submission and further submission period for Proposed Urban Plan Change 6 has closed.
