The camera livestream is dependent on local wifi providers still working and this may be affected during severe weather.
Hikuwai River at Willowflat
When the river level is at 8.5m that triggers flood warnings.
Waipaoa River at Kanakanaia Bridge
When the river level is at 5m and expected to exceed 6m, that triggers flood warnings. Nesbitts Dip on the Gisborne side of Te Karaka, typically floods at 8.2m.
In 1988 Cyclone Bola, the water level reached a peak height of 10.67m.
