What the property search does not include
A property search does not include:
- compliance schedules
- earthquake-prone building information
- rates arrears

Some property files are not currently available while we digitise our records, we apologise for any inconvenience caused by temporary delays.
Why some records may be missing
We search across electronic databases, microfilm, and hard copy registers. Before amalgamation in 1989, the 4 former councils used different filing systems.
If your property is within the old Cook County boundary, records prior to 1948 were destroyed in a fire. We cannot confirm whether permits were issued for work done before that year.
