Our walking and cycling networks include footpaths, shared paths, footbridges, bike lanes, cycleways, boardwalks and mountain biking tracks. Together, they help people of all ages and abilities move around the city more easily.
Our goal is to create better walking and cycling opportunities for the whole community. These networks encourage encourage people to get outside and be active, while also making travel around the city safer and more convenient. In turn, this supports improved health and delivers positive economic and social outcomes.
We're currently working on a plan that brings together a range of strategies and initiatives to encourage different travel choices. Related work includes speed reductions near schools and in townships.
2024-2027 Three Year Plan (3YP) budget
