For Gisborne District Council

Local elections will be held by postal vote on Saturday 11 October 2025. A referendum on the future of Tairāwhiti’s Māori ward is also included.  
Nominations are now open for the role of Mayor and Councillor positions. Below is a list of nominations received so far. This will be updated regularly.
