A section of Ranfurly Road and Queens Drive will be closed for a Tamararo competition at Te Poho o Rawiri Marae
The following roads will be temporarily closed for the Tamararo Primary Junior Kapahaka competition hosted by Te Poho o Rawiri Marae on Saturday 30 November from 6.30am to 6pm Sunday 1 December 2024.
- Ranfurly Road from Queens Drive to Cambridge Terrace 24 hours for the duration
- Queens Drive from Ranfurly Road to the carpark behind the Marae, it will be opened during unattended times if stalls can move safely from the carriageway.
Public vehicle access to Titirangi (Kaiti Hill) on Queens Drive, will not be available during the operating hours of the event for safety reasons. Pedestrians will be able to walk through the closures and use other walking paths.
Emergency vehicle access will be maintained to the Marae and Titirangi via a single lane on Queens Drive as required by controlled access.
It would be an offense under the regulations for anyone, other than those permitted to do so, to use the road whilst it is closed.
This notice is issued under the Local Government Act 1974 Section 342 and the Transport (vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.
