Night works road closure - Hirini Street between 6pm - 10pm Wednesday and Thursday
Essential work to repair the manhole cover and surface surround at the intersection of Hirini Street and Wainui Road (by Mobile Portside).
- When: Wednesday 6 August and Thursday 7 August
- Duration: between 6pm - 10pm each night.
- Where: Lane closed - Hirini St and Wainui Rd intersection.
Road closure setup at the intersection of Hirini St / Crawford Rd. Residents will have access.
Vehicles turning right from Wainui Rd to Hirini St have access.
No access for vehicles turning left off Wainui Rd or exiting Mobil Portside into Hirini St.
Works:
- Night 1: Excavate and remove the existing area surrounding the manhole lid.
- Night 2: Improve the surface surround around the manhole lid with new concrete pour and finishing. Once all works have been completed, all surfaces will be reinstated.
After the work is completed, a 3x3m area around the site will be coned off for 7 days to allow the concrete to set. This won't affect traffic flow.
Work is weather-dependent and will be postponed if rain is forecast.
