Building forms and guides to assist you with your building project. You can download the form or apply online for some types of consents.
Note: processing and inspection delays due to Covid-19 pandemic
The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is having a flow-on effect on staff availability and recruiting for vacancies. Therefore we advise that statutory timeframes may be extended to enable the proper and fair administration of building consents.
We acknowledge that we're using consultancies extensively in order to ensure consents are processed. However, there may be some ongoing delays as there's a national shortage of qualified planners.
Building inspections may also have a significant time delay or could stop altogether if there’s widespread Covid-19 infections in our community and within Council staff.
We understand delays may impact your building project. Unfortunately it's an unavoidable situation that all councils are facing. Please contact our building team if you have any further questions.
